| This equipment generating high temperature and high speed gas flow evaluate the abrasive durability of materials surface exposed in such gas flow. This is useful in developing the materials used for hypersonic air frames, engines and high temperature gas passage parts etc. Gas is arc-heated and introduced to vacuum chamber through supersonic nozzle. Gas flow speed is ～2000m/sec, gas temperature is 5000K and run time is 120 minutes maximum. Equipment is installed by Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Company of Japan. |
